Czech is a language strongly influenced by Latin and German. It is the official language of Czech Republic and is spoken by more than 10 million people. Czech Republic is a nation state in Central Europe and has Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland in its borders. It also one of the official languages of the European Union. The writing system is Latin script. Letters with similar sounds were normally used. The oldest note available in Czech can be traced back to 11th century. Czech speaking people are also found in Portugal, Poland, Germany and US. The language is also closely related to Slovak, Sorbian and polish. The standardization of modern Czech started during 18th century.
