Gujarati is an Indian language originally from the state of Gujarat. It is the official language not only in Gujarat, but also in Daman and Diu as well as Dadra and Nagar Haveli. It was the first language of Mahatma Gandhi and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It has its own script and is used to write Gujarati as well as Kutchi languages. It is descendent from Brahmi and is a variation of Devanagari script. It is being spoken by the people who live in different countries like North America, the United States of America, Canada, London and many more and have originated from Gujarat. The language has undergone modern reclassification and many loanwords from different languages have become part of it.
