Hindi is one of the most commonly spoken and used language in India. It is also one of the official languages of India. In addition to India, Hindi is the official language of Fiji and is widely spoken in South Africa, Mauritius, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago. When most spoken first languages of the world are taken into consideration, Hindi stands on fourth position. It is written in Devanagari script. Hindi is not just a language. It is a reflection of Indian culture and its soft sounds can be felt in its poetries.
