Bosnian

Bosnian language, mostly used by Bosniaks, is one of the official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is native to Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnian diaspora along with Macedonia, Slovenia and Kosovo. Both, Latin and Cyrillic alphabet is being used when writing Bosnian. It has loanwords from Arabic, Ottoman Turkish and Persian languages. It was only in the last decade of the 20th century that the modern Bosnian standard took shape. In fact, it was after 1995 that Bosnian language received international recognition and legitimacy. The United Nations and UNESCO have also recognized the language. Major translation and interpretation agencies have accepted and acknowledged it. It is an effective subject in primary schools of Serbia as well. Bosnian, Siberian and creation literary standards are similar to each other in both, written and spoken form.
